I applied for a construction job that pays several more dollars an hour than I am currently getting. I've known the foreman for several years. I'm pretty sure that the job was posted just to move someone up but they have to post it anyway because of the regulations of the business. I really need opinions on whether or not I should let the foreman know that I really need this job because my family are starving and can't make it on my current salary. Would this hurt my chances or improve them? I am on the spectrum so it's difficult for me to judge other people's reactions. Thanks.
