I've been working for my new boss for a year, as I was promoted internally.
From the very start, even before my promotion he made negative comments about my ability to complete tasks. I ended up rolling out a whole project 90% myself without a manager and he was 'astonished'. I was then promoted internally and he said he was glad I worked under him.
Since then he had been a poor manager, not passing new information onto me, not disciplining the team, just in general being relaxed which of course caused the team to feel stressed due to lack of support.
Considering all the above, I was pretty annoyed and told him some home truths. He took it on board and changed positively.
Since then a few months later I notice in team meetings he is dismissive of my suggestions. How am I supposed to learn if I dont conversate? He will happily listen to others but not to mine.
I'm sick of the mind games personally, I come to work to work. I dont need someone thinking so less of me.
Thoughts?
Tldr: I have the impression boss favours others over me, making a difficult environment.
