So I’ll make this one short and sweet. Last year for about 2 weeks I worked a side gig at bed bath & beyond. I ended up getting extremely sick and having to call out for 2 straight weeks cause I was sick and hospitalized. And continued being sick after that to the point I actually thought I was going to die so I just stopped stressing about some pointless side job. Fast forward to when I was doing taxes and it said I had earned a couple hundred from them this year, which I know I never had. I was to scared of getting audited or something forr not claiming it so I did. Is there any legal recourse I can take? Can I get my money? Are they not at fault for falsely claiming how much they paid me?
