I guess employers are starting to screen harder on the front end to weed out people who quit bad workplaces.
I’ve had two interviews recently where I’ve been questioned about my “spotty” work history. I have worked the average of 3-5 years at almost every place I’ve worked. Some of this due to a crazy ex that wanted to move cities all the time and some because my pay was not adequate and I bettered myself. I have gotten great yearly reviews at every job I’ve ever been.
At the first place that I interviewed at that this happened, come to find out during the interview, that the lady before me had started and only worked a few months and then quit. Red flag. Did not get that offer but had already decided to decline based on pay and hearing that the other lady quit so soon.
Anyone else have this experience of suddenly they have “spotty” job history when this has not come up as an issue in interviews before?
