I understand that the workforce is low populated right now, and everyone is going through this, blah blah blah. But, I just got a new job about two weeks ago and told my manager I would have open availability until school starts. Just re-informed him today that once school starts for me, I will be down to three days a week. Asked me immediately, “That's it?!” blah blah blah. It just frustrates me that managers don't respect the availability given by their employees, new or old. Most managers I know aren't even there are much as they push their employees to be, so why they put the anxiety on employees to be there killing themselves each week is beyond me. It's just annoying and gives me anxiety. I told you my availability, respect it. I can easily leave for a thousand other places if you would rather me not be here at all. Does this make sense? I'm just ranting, I know, it just gives me anxiety though. I hope everyone has had a good day and not felt forced to overwork themselves due to manager-induced stress.
