I need you to tell me if I'm wrong in the decision or in the way of doing things, I recently entered the labor market.
I worked at a job very far from the city at a great height, they didn't pay the transportation tickets from one city to another, they didn't have a contract for me, therefore I didn't have labor insurance (accidents). Similarly, the working conditions were very bad, without heating with temperatures below zero, poor insulation of parts, and little communication from the positions above the shift in office.
Additionally, when I had the interview, they asked me about my salary expectations, to which I gave a number and they later pointed out that the job was for 40 days, given the custom in the country, all salaries are paid in 30 days, so When they hired me, I assumed that my salary expectations were monthly, which was not the case, they paid me proportionally 30 days after what I had asked for, and my colleagues were made worth the deal. Given this I spoke and they had me 2 weeks talking to different people only to tell me that they couldn't do anything about it. In view of the need, I continued to work under these conditions.
Recently very out of the blue they called me from another job to offer me to go with them as soon as possible, it's close to my house although a little less money, but obviously better quality of life. I reported this to my former boss and he was very angry, he told me that it was harming the project, that this was not done, that I was warning him too much and that probably in the future they would recommend me badly. His reaction was very strong so I didn't want to answer anything and just ask him for the money for the days worked.
Was what I did wrong? I think not, I was always respectful and fair with my intentions, but his reaction surprises me, especially considering how badly they played me with the salary issue.
