I’m so stressed out. I was just let go from an independent contractor position because the company was “Going in a different direction.” I gave these assholes over 3 years of my labor, every single day, no vacation, no days off, no benefits, and they couldn’t even give me the courtesy of a 2 week notice? I live paycheck to paycheck, have no savings because of that, and now have no job while inflation was already making it difficult to survive. I’m disabled but don’t qualify for disability, so now I have the stress of trying to find another job that I can manage through my disabilities. Finding a job like my previous one is impossible because it’s a quickly dying industry and there are no other similar jobs in my area. I have no idea what I’m going to do, I really feel like I’m at the end of my rope.
