my store has cameras all over the place for loss prevention and i guess LP told our leads that we are on our phones too much. but we are also encouraged to use our phones when helping out guests find specific items for or even trying to learn more about products. i’d understand if it was because we would just ignore ppl while on our phones but usually it’s a quick text or giving context to a convo when the store is absolutely dead.
they told us that we can only use our phones for work reasons and naturally i asked “how would they know??”
now i’m wondering if a privacy screen would work on the cameras they use to watch guests and us?
