So I had an interview yesterday at Hungry Howie's Pizza and the franchise owner was telling me how he's been working double shifts the past 4 months because “nobody wants to work”. There was absolutely no managers in the store, 5 drivers, and 2 instores. I worked at Papa John's for 13 years so I had plenty experience, and even dealt with an extremely understaffed store in the past, so that didn't really bother me. What DID bother me was when he told me the pay…. This mf offered me $40k/year with no benefits and no bonus plan. We live in an area where the median income is $120k, and I had JUST told him I was making $55-70k at Papa John's. He says “sorry but we aren't in the position to pay that much right now”… I walked right out of the interview, obviously 🤦
