We should come together as a country and agree that working Monday – Thursday should be considered full-time, but also that working only Friday, Saturday, & Sunday is also considered full time.
Basically split the week in two and give people the option to decide if they want to work four days and have traditional weekends off, or if they want to, work 3 days for the same pay as the 4 day guys, and then have four days every week off.
It would be amazing for families that can't afford childcare: Mom works Mon-Thur, Dad works Fri-Sun, so there's always someone to watch their kids and both parents make full time money.
If you're an eager beaver and want to work 2 jobs, or work and go to school at the same time, and you're okay with working 7 days a week, this would actually make life easier for you.
Companies might not like it, but boohoo. If its what the people want, then screw the companies.
Most people hate their jobs, who doesn't vote for a Presidential candidate that runs based on splitting the work week?
