Just put in a request to go to one of my best/oldest friend’s wedding in September. The policy is to give a month’s notice, but I gave them five. My request was denied, because it’s in the middle of my job’s THREE MONTH LONG PTO BLACKOUT. I explained that I’ve been friends with this dude for over half my life and that I’m not missing it. Their response? “I don’t care if it’s your twin sister’s wedding, the answer is no.” So I guess I’m looking for a new job starting today lmao.
