Not enough people IRL talk about how fucking fried you are when you’re overworked.

I've worked long enough to know my limits. Almost every job I had expected everyone to break their asses all day. They expected us to clock in behind, and clock out ahead. I remember one job in particular where I didn't have time to tie my shoes. Those same employers feigned confusion when that pressure resulted in accidents and mistakes that cost time. I was reminded of that again recently. My job basically gave everyone more work to “keep afloat” and part of that was me having a second group on fridays. This means I had to do paperwork that I normally had an hour and a half to work on in about 10 minutes. I see a lot of posts on reddit of someone being either tragically or humorously stupid. From /idiotsincars to /whatcouldgowrong. And I just wonder, how many of the work related ones could have been avoided if the person involved just had the fucking time to think about what they're doing.
