Ok so I work for a warehouse that distributes food and paper goods for restaurants. Fridays are usually short day and since I have a few errands and chores to run after work I figured I'd help lump trucks even though that's not my title or job. My job requires me to look after two particular ailes that have fast moving product. However, the system that scans everything in sends all the product I get to one certain pick slot, which has created a huge cluster fuck in that area and leaves all other areas and the other aile looking empty. Apparently one of the lumpers didn't like the fact that I was trying to help unload these trucks(also I can't do the main part of my job until they've unloaded most of everything) so they told their supervisor who in turn told me to just stick to pir. The thing is, all I do is clean and organize until I get product to put away. When I pointed out that me organizing Is a waste of time because everytime I try to move products around to help the cluster the system won't move it inside itself so there's been countless times where night shift can't find the things I've moved. I also pointed out it's ridiculous I have to clean up after night shift, they pull items, sometimes out of the boxes because they only need one or two, and they leave those empty boxes all over the ailes instead of throwing them away. I pointed all this out to said supervisor who's response was “night shift is the money maker”. Ya, ok dude. Cuz night shift keeps opening boxes of chips and drinks for themselves and hiding them throughout the warehouse. Fuck this. What's funny is the lumpers have a tendency to ask me for a few things here and there. Can't wait for that to happen again. And I've already found an open box of Pringles that night shift has been munching on to show the supervisor how much money night shift actually makes lol
