I’m in highschool, I have no where near the amount of credits I should have for my grade (10th). I have 8/48 credits. I’ve asked for help, they laughed. The first thing I got told is how my attendance is “so bad” and I “might have set a record for the amount of days missed”.
The reason that I don’t show up is because I feel as if it is just a waste of time, I outright feel disrespected. Again in my opinion I feel like the school should be in favor of the student attending, that might just be me.
My school is so unorganized, I don’t even know if we have a damn counselor. Most of the teachers never stay for the whole school year so it feels like you can’t make a connection with liking a subject. This could definitely be a problem due to Covid the years prior but I have no idea. I’m just so frustrated and completely lost. This has caused me so much stress and anxiety because the main reason my anxiety developed is from my past, not having enough money.
Im worried about where I’m going to be in life and I again feel like school just isn’t helping. I’ve worked a normal job and even had the opportunity to do roofing, flooring, framing, welding and so on. As far as I know, as long as you don’t want to be an engineer of some sort in these careers you don’t need a highschool diploma. This leads into my next problem…
Is it really THAT BAD to get a GED (Graduation equivalent diploma). Idk any ideas or opinions would help,
