My manager told me no one wants me there. What should I do?
Out of 3 allied staff in a small office 2 quit.
So now my boss has added the majority of these missing employees workload onto me and with little to no training on how to complete these task aside from 2 hours of training videos that rush through while still trying to run front office while pulls me away from the training session causing me to miss multiple parts of the training. That’s all I have had so I am having to train myself on these task.
After FOUR DAYS of struggling with this over abundance of workload my boss put me 30 day probation period.
My issue is that my boss sat me down recently and said something very hurtful to me. She said “out of everyone that works here I’m the only one that wants you here. I’m the only one that wanted you hired. I believe in second chances” (idk if she assumed on first impression that I have been a failure all my life and needed a “2nd” chance?)
What type of motivation is that to say? That none of my co workers want me there? Especially since I was doing great until these two employees quit and their work load was dumped on me? Idk it really messed with me and now I kind of feel like I don’t belong in the work place here or that I’m not welcome. My coworker wants me to report it to HR as unprofessional. But idk anymore. I have tried the hardest I can without training provided and I feel the expectation so quickly is unfair. I was just given the extensive addition of duties last Friday.
