Obesity and America’s Insane Work Schedule

3 months ago I went from working 60 hours a week to 50 hours. I’m losing tons in commission and probably $120k in annual revenue for my employer, but I just don’t care anymore. Im salaried, and a “professional” so I’m exempt from getting overtime. I’m sick of working through lunch and until 8:00 at night. I just ignore my boss’s judgmental looks as I leave at 5:00. But the great thing is that I’ve started losing weight! I’m down 15 lbs and feeling so much better. I’ve struggled with my weight for years, and I think a big part of it in America is the work schedule. If you’re stressed out all the time, diet and exercise just aren’t as effective. Americans get a lot of ridicule from other countries for our weight, but I think many Americans work even worse hours than I do. It’s just all just…

Americans get a lot of ridicule from other countries for our weight, but I think many Americans work even worse hours than I do. It’s just all just kept secret.

I’m probably going to get fired.

I guess being unemployed is better than being fat.
