Hi all, I’m not used to posting on Reddit – I am (25F) and boss is (38M). Something recently happened at work, and I’m looking for some recommendations/support. One afternoon my boss asked me to come into his office, as I entered the office he moved the door slightly… but not closing it fully.
He then proceeded to ask me to sit on his desk. I asked, “why?” He then repeated himself and asked me to sit on his desk. Now his desk is tall, so this required a little jump up. I didn’t know what else to do or say, so I sat on his desk. He sat on his chair in front of the desk, and clicked a button where he can make the desk higher.
As I kept moving higher, he then let it go to the very top and said “you can jump off now” so, I jump off. He then proceeds to tell me that he is looking to order a new rising desk, and wants to see how much weight the desk can withstand. Apparently he wanted another desktop that had wood in it to make it fancier, and that it would make the desk heavier.
I am 5’9 and weight 135lbs. Now, I am unsure of if this is actually weird – or he didn’t realize that it made me feel uncomfortable. I didn’t quite know how to handle the situation, and just went along. To add context, I was wearing a skirt when this happened (I had tights on tho). Is this weird?
Now, this boss has made some other strange comments, perhaps I will make another post on this soon.
