I'm 18 years old, a teen, a kid for some of you and before any of you might cross me out as anything, if you'd like to know my political leaning I would say I'm a socialdemocrat or socialiberal, I tend to jump between the two, though I'm not going to pretend like I have more than a superficial level of understanding of politics and economy.
I wanted to comment in the now closed up post about our situation in which I some pretty interesting, outrageous and thought provoking comments but wasn't able to contribute to the discussion, even if I'm unable to give an well-educated POV about it.
So, what I wanted to leave a comment about the situation of my country too, if you people are okay with it and would let me express my opinion is that:
It's not that companies pay less than the government, it's that the government is paying more by allowing people to accumulate social support planning in exchange for votes and participaring in strikes thus discouraging my fellow countrymen of getting registered as legal workers, which would get them their social planning revoked and a worse salary, so, they do not find convenient to register as a legal worker in the end and to be honest neither would I.
And don't misunderstand me! I'm not trying to sway the responsibility of my country's precarious condition to the “planeros”, after all, it's the system, our goverment, that allows them to live like that, using them as tools to perpetuate their political power.
As a result of this each day our country gets poorer.
As we argentinians are neglected, our country's econocy is unable to support itself and starting to fall upon it's corruption, bureaucratic incompetence and lack of stability; the necessary infraestructure can't be built, private sector goes bankrupt or abandons the country, we become dependent of a corrupt government.
I don't think we are victims of capitalism
We are victims of our own youth as a democratic country, of a cult to personality, of the mismanagement of resources, of populism, of “bread and circus”, and many things.
Side note: Let me clarify that with “our government” I don't mean Alberto Fernández, our president, specifically since he's just a scapegoat for our current vicepresident and former president Cristina Kirchner, who's the actual “face” of the government, so, I would mean her and her adherents as our actual government, having perpetuated themselves for 12 years (4 years of Nestor Kirchner, 8 of Cristina) before Macri's poor management of the country, but I'm not going to get into that because I don't want to make an “Ah, pero Macri” here.
