I work for a large chain fast food restaurant, I started working there about 7 months ago. I requested the entire 4th of July week off back in February, when the availability was still open. Cut to about 2 weeks ago my manager announces that she is taking the time off, and that no one may request July 1-15th off. I instantly tell her that wouldn't work for me since I already made plans and booked reservations that I already paid for. She responds with she will “try” to make it work, she never got back to me. Today is July 4th and I just got a call from work telling me she scheduled me on July 4th, in the middle of my vacation. I tell them I'm out of state, to which my manager threatens termination when I return home.
