To provide some context, I work in a major retail outlet and today was extremely busy and understaffed due to over half of the crew having to quarantine cause of COVID and close contacts. The management weren’t able to call any people in leaving a lot of us having to pick up slack of other staff members and it was rather exhausting on everyone involved. The management warned me today that tomorrow is going to be the same, if not worse (cause it’s a Saturday and people love taking their families out on weekends) and I just don’t know if I want to go through something like that again.
Should I just join the pack and say I can’t come in? Might be a shitty move but, any thoughts?
