I’ve been looking for a new job recently, and 80% of these entry-level job listings don’t even tell me what they pay. Do they honestly expect anyone to apply at a Wendy’s during a worker’s shortage when they won’t even be honest about their pay? They refuse to be humbled!! They all have a long list of requirements with no incentives whatsoever. I refuse to apply to a job where it’s not listed, and I also don’t apply to the ones that have an estimated pay because I know they will low ball me as much as they can. This process is so stressful.

This is why I have a strict no work friends only rule & try not to get attached, our latest was a manager I actually liked. I just found out today because on the schedule she was marked as it being her last day, she didn't show up Turns out, she was pulled aside from our senior manager and told “You should start looking for another job, you can work here until you find one. We expected less mistakes from someone with your years of experience” She must've been pulled aside 2-3 days ago because up until yesterday she was her usual self (no announcement was made either..) She felt disrespected and why would she work until she gets a new job knowing that the owners are more than likely going to F her over? Hello everyone, I'm in kinda bad situation. I'm supposed to start collage in 2 months and one year costs me 1000$ I'll need 4000$ for the whole 4 years of collage. I have a job and I'm trying to make money so I can pay my year but I don't see it happening. I'm being paid 3$/h. I'm working 8hrs 20 days a month. So I get paid 480$ monthly. 300$ goes to bills 100$ to food 60$ to transport and the rest for hygiene and other necessary house things (cleaning and stuff). I'm left with nothing? Is there any remote work I could do without needing to speak (email replying or any kind) that I could do with my current work? I do doordash when time permits for extra money. Pays well enough to be worth it, usually. I noticed a pay discrepancy that shorted me about $10. After several calls, I was told it was a canceled order that I had delivered. Customer canceled, not me. Then, today, a friend I told about it sends me a link to a story about a Doordash glitch that happened Thursday. This glitch allowed people to order food without providing a valid payment method. Specifically, the order I delivered was for 2 bottles of Don Julio from a liquor store. Total on the receipt was $455 and a bit of change. I'm not even mad. I work as a delivery driver for a large well known pizza company. The last few weeks at my dominos has been crazy, my supervisor is always 2 seconds away from an emotional breakdown, one of our male drivers is aggressive, and our GM is lazy and leaves early all the time even when the store is slammed. The last two nights I have been staying until midnight (2.5 hours past my off time to help out the store.) I have to get up at 7:45am and go to work until 5:30pm. Then I start dominos at 6:30pm. I recently saw a post here about someone talking about how gross a freezer was at their work. They said it had visceral material aka internal organs of animals and that they had to clean it with a shop vac. There was only a package of bacon, trash, and bloody water in their freezer . Also they said that this was at a zoo/national park and animals are inhumanely slaughtered there. Animals may only be slaughtered at approved state or federal facilities or on location of said animal with permit, personally I’m not aware of zoos or national parks with facilities let alone capabilities for this industry. Bloody water is not proof as the entrails leave much nastier contents. Incendiary posts that are false discredit this sub and help to lose traction to end workplace harassment.
