I need my bosses approval to apply for an internal lateral move. What's it called if they deny it. The denial reason may be because staffing is short and would leave a vacancy at my current venue.
For the sake some some anonymity my store lead told me I had to reimburse the company for a customer not fully paying a tab. I live in Texas. They came through the drive through, I ran their cars, handed them them the drinks, the register completed the order and she left. A couple seconds later the register told me is was partial payment . For context, this register has been giving us issues for months and has been ignore by company owner. Store lead says it’s my job to cover it so I paid. Later my boyfriend told me this was highly illegal unless I had a consent form previously signed with the company. All I ever signed was my W2 and pre-employment form. I’m Not sure it said anything about that. For more context we get our tips every two weeks before payday. Last payday I didn’t get…

I walked back into the kitchen a couple minutes later to which she told me she only took half of the bill off and expected me to pay the rest I asked her if she could explain to me exactly how I…

After about 6 months I got my first salaried position in the company for a different team. It was an entry level position but the culture made it “seem” like you had the capability of moving up. My first clue something wasn’t right was 2 weeks later at the end of my shift – my manager and the director pulled me into an office. I was freaking out, but now I believe the whole thing was for intimidation. Aparently I got offered more money for the position than I should have, and they wanted to ‘encourage’ me not to share my salary with other employees, and that I wouldn’t receive raises (or they would be minuscule) for the first couple years until all the other salaried entry level employees…
