I once counted myself among those opposed to wealth. I found it vulgar, dehumanizing, and divisive. I've come to think that wealth disparity is the true plague. I was put on a personal improvement plan at work. Everyone in my position receive a pay raise and bonus, however a calendar invite came in from my manage titled “year end comp”. I know My performance hasn’t been amazing but I am making the effort to improve. What do you think? Anything I can ask my manager to get a hint?

What it says in the title. Got shot down for raises for two very deserving members of my team. I asked to get them to $70k but boss said no. I got fired today and that was the reason given. Didn't think it could happen irl but it did. Watch your back, no one is safe.
