So my boss is always checking numbers and .Akins us tag team projects which I don't like because you are asking more questions and something will get lost in translation. So what I do to make sure he doesn't notice I have less hours is wait until end of the week to take hours out of my schedule so my numbers don't reflect me having less hours because more times than not I have more work come in during the week. Am I wrong for this? I don't think I am.

So my best friend is at a loss of what to do he got hired at a company they hired him pretty quickly and he needed to move for this position about 1200 miles from where he currently is and they don’t offer any relocating so the job started about a week ago he needed to find a place to live and everything all in the course of a week . I can't believe I have to even say this, but for all you looking for work… If there is no Salary stated, then don't interview. In fact, don't apply EVER. Don't message them, don't call them, don't email them asking. There are no circumstances where this is ever going to pan out in your favour. Employers do this for one of two reasons: 1) The pay is so low that people don't apply, they need people on the hook do they can convince (gaslight) some mug into accepting pittance as that's all they are going to get. 2) They want to negotiate I e. screw you as low as they can. Even if they have a budget of €150k, they need a info from you as to how low they can screw, so you even mention $50k, they will use that to push you lower, they will test your boundaries.…

How does the current state of the US job culture affect this movement and other movements like it? From a purely anecdotal perspective, I can never openly post my disdain/hypocrisy of the current system in a public forum under my name as I could be fired for it. A lot of companies have social media policies that prevent us from organizing and speaking out under threat of termination. Do you think if we had laws preventing employers from terminating employees based off of social media/outside organizing and protests that we would have more freedom to make the changes we desire in this country?

I work in a very specialized field and I'm just now making on the low end of adequate after fighting for a 19% raise this year (which has all gone to inflation). I love my job, my boss, the environment, the location, etc. Literally the only big complaint I have is that the pay is low. I look at other jobs but most are offering only a few dollars more an hour. Because of the way the housing market is I can't justify moving my family for only a few thousand more a year. I feel trapped. We just barely make ends meet. Unless I can get a salary raise by 50% or more I can't see a move happening and I don't know if I'll find that. Idk just needed to vent. I'd be happy where I am if I made 5 to 10k more a year. It’s beyond frustrating when people like my boss say: “Nobody wants to work no more!!!” but then when it comes to him doing the job he is lazy AF & we have to pick up after all of his mistakes or better yet, lack of action itself. And since he’s the owner he gets a free pass on having any sort of accountability & be free of responsibilities yet he gets to dictate what comes and goes and is able to make me feel like shit with no repercussion? It’s almost as if being manager or the owner in this society gives you the status of “untouchable god” & it’s so frustrating when nobody sees a problem with this! Man, fuck this job, thank god I start my new job next Monday!
