European governments were created in the 1800s, when workers were able to get “labor” into the protected list.

Hi there! I’m looking for an outlet to vent. I work in a small private office. My colleagues are wonderful but management is much to be desired. I’m on the brink of resignation but for financial reasons I can’t resign until by some miracle I come into millions or find a different job. My office is not set up to work from home, and management is borderline hostile and discriminatory to myself as well as other colleagues. There is not an HR department or higher up to go except the providers in the practice. We do not have an employee handbook other than a very outdated one, so nobody really is even aware of policies. We have hours on paper, but nobody ever leaves because we are told to stay until the work is done, and I’ve been lectured for leaving work behind that can easily be done the next…

With the inability of governments to protect and maintain basic human rights should internet access be added to the known universal human rights?

I am a college graduate. I have been applying to all sorts of jobs constantly for the last four years but it seems I’m just trapped in dead end food service / retail jobs that don’t pay me for shit. I have tried everything. Additional classes and certificates, staffing company’s, friends who have jobs that are hiring, EVERYTHING. I have recruiters emailing any and every job that pays at least $20 an hour, and I go in for at least half of them. I can’t get a single fucking bite. I’m just at my wits fucking end.

Got myself a job at one of those “we're family” “corporate culture” companies who are “disrupting the industry” and are “excited about the future” using a million different apps to do like two things, zoom meetings, etc. Shit. What have I done

Debating quitting but am I overreacting? I’ve worked at a company for about 3 years now and have a masters degree. A private office opened up a little while ago after an employee quit. Now they are bringing in a new hire college undergrad to replace her with no work experience and giving the new hire the private office. I feel pretty slighted about this.
