I mean, 32% of the wealth is held by 1% of the people, and 70 percent is held by the top 10%. If we take that 10% away, the country is a lot poorer, the GDP is a lot lower, etc. It's tricking ourselves to think we're this #1 super-wealthy nation. We're not (though we still are compared to many). There's a sub-nation inside us that is wealthy, but they do not work the same jobs, walk the same streets, eat the same food, or even go to the same places on the internet, as 90% of the rest of the country.

I’m not going to go into further details but let’s just say that today was the last straw. I can easily get another shit job anywhere else so employment isn’t a concern. But when my supervisor sends me home early and then actively searches through my desk to find paperwork from NOVEMBER to hold against me?? Yeah fuck that.

Title pretty much says it all. I'm so pissed right now I cant even type everything I want to say in this post. Just wanting to vent.

A display in my office broke and I asked one of the bosses if I could repair it since it'll save the company money. He said sure and let me use the company card to buy repair supplies. I fixed the display, but had extra material which I could use to repair the other aging displays which he also said was fine. I also have another boss to whom I report directly who has been out on medical leave. He hasn't been in lately, but his wife works for us part time. She told him that I had fixed something in the store and he called me in a rage angry that I hadn't asked him. I explained that my other boss had said it was ok. So I've been working in a Wendy's for a few years, awful decision, but it was convenient while I was in school. A few months ago, I went to one of our manager meetings (because a third of the staff are managers at this point) and the higher-ups were upset at our customer reviews, apparently. They weren't bad, per se, they just weren't good enough. Upper management even knows that most of our reviews are done by the staff themselves, they just let it slide because it lets them look better. Then they drop the absolute gem of a line that is the title, directed at our GM, but applying to everyone. If that's not a textbook definition red flag then nothing is. She made a post on facebook about how, instead of having a social life and enjoying herself, she spent her college years working 4 jobs at once so that she could one day own a home. It's so fucking sad the amount of work required for the simple goal of homeownership. Meanwhile our grandparents bought homes working a single job with no college degree. Rant over. I'm just pissed off and very depressed.

So I posted some time back about my ex-employer appealing my unemployment. So the judge called me today (as scheduled) to tell me that my ex-employer failed to give them any sort of contact information for the hearing, and so it was decided in my favor by default. So yay!
