Title is pretty self explanatory, but basically these past two weeks she’s been coming up with all of these new reasons to write us up. If the bathrooms aren’t clean enough, if we were late to a meeting (keep in mind this is retail store.) I’m fairly sure none of these are in the handbook, just made up on a whim. Just kinda annoyed because I don’t hate this job, it can be fun sometimes. But lately they’ve been making changes for the worse.
My coworker told me today that our manager called him into his office after I left work for the day to tell him that we need to stop watching videos at our desk while we are at work. He also said that I would be called in next Monday to have the same conversation. Most of the time while I am at my desk I have one earbud in to listen to the lo-fi girl on youtube while I work. If I do have a video up, like twitch or youtube, I usually just make the window small and put it in the corner of my second monitor. The problem that myself and my coworker have compared to other people in the department is that our desks are right outside the 2 management offices. Hi all, I am a lead operator at a ski resort running ski lifts. I recently had a deadline for a medical class to pass it and told my manager that I would have to call in for three days to make sure I kept my position in the fire department I am working in as well.
