Now, I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure having mold, especially in a daycare, is extremely bad. This morning when I opened my classroom, I noticed a very bad oder. It didn't smell like old diapers but I checked the trash anyway and it was clean. The smell made me feel dizzy and nauseated. This has been happening for a while, I would feel fine until I enter work and then suddenly I feel sick. Yesterday, the smell was here and my co teacher thought there was a dead animal in the ceiling. When I saw my assistant director today, I told her that the smell has gotten worse. When I took off my mask to drink some water, I immediately started coughing cuz it was so strong. My assistant director old me there's mold in the window seal and we need to open window to let the room air…
Well, It wasn’t even bereavement leave because that wasn’t a benefit, and they didn’t offer any insurance (dead end job). This job was in Arkansas (I was there for college and working) My family was in Illinois. My grandmother passed away March of 2020(This was right before COVID). She was a third parent to me, moved in with our family after grandpa died, and I was about 4 months old. My grandma was a champ! She has multiple heart attacks and strokes, but she still pushed along. One day, I got a call from my mom that my grandmother had a massive stroke that left her brain dead. We were going to put her in hospice. I was asked to come home to be with her. Ofc I would go home. When I told my boss, he said to me “well, if she’s in hospice, can’t you wait for her…
In March of 2020 I started working a part time job as a doorman in a fancy residential building in Manhattan on the weekends, this was fortunate because by the end of the month I was out of my bar manager job with no avenue for UI since I was paid cash. So this job became my only source of income. In September that year I started working full time after another employee retired early due to issues with an owner and how he was spoken too. His shift was offered to me as is, which included at 16 hour shift (7am-11pm) on Sunday after an 8 hour shift evening (3-11pm) on Saturday. No overtime. No meal allowance, this was the offer and I lept at the opportunity as I had been forced to live with my parents as I was taking in 1,000 a month and I have medical…
My answer is still no
Stop Drug Testing
Part of the reason finding a good job is so hard is because of these draconian drug laws. Why is it that Bob can go home and slam a 6 pack everynight yet if I smoke 1 blunt on the weekend im considered a degenerate drug user and now cant work. Recently found out that even though weed is legal in my State Costco still discriminates against Cannabis Users. We need reform.
