I was put on a performance improvement plan at work less than 2 months before going out on maternity leave and while having an accommodation for the pregnancy being high risk. I met the goals of this plan but my supervisor never followed up or checked in. I also never spoke to HR. I have now returned from maternity leave and have been told the performance improvement plan is being extended and my boss wants to discuss what the goals will be. I feel at this point they are just trying to get me to quit or covering themselves in order to fire me. They just didn’t feel they could do it before my maternity leave. Anyone have thoughts or advice? I did set up a meeting to chat with my HR rep next week.

Laid off again
After only 5 months in a new role I’m being laid off along with 3/4 of the company. Before that I was laid off in December after a 5 year run and I was laid off from the tile before that too. After three consecutive lay offs through no fault of my own I am beginning to think the capitalists may not have any idea what they’re doing and should not be running the economy.

2 weeks ago today, i quit my fast food job that i had for 4 and a half years. My GM quit on that monday, and I was the only remaining manager, get this, THEY WANTED ME TO WORK 105 HOURS IN ONE WEEK. I'm in college, we had been asking for another manager for 3 months and no answer on that. i ended up in academic probation because of the fact I wasn't able to take tests as I often had to come in on my days off, ending with 66 hours in a week. Suddenly we had 3 managers that could come in, I put in my two weeks notice, got yelled at by our AD for not putting in a 4 week notice. Turned in my key the very next day. I had put up with a lot of shit such as my first GM there telling…
