The UK has a 'hit list' of Oligarchs who it's promising to sanction. So far, that list totals THREE people. In the meantime, the rest of the world's uber-wealthy have time to stash their wealth away in tax havens. Regular Russian people are already facing economic hardship and I'm enraged that those with ACTUAL influence are not being held accountable for the murder of innocent Ukrainians. I really want to establish a thread/community which digs into companies, individuals, and governments who are complicit in propping up Russian billionaires. We've seen endless showboating from corporations (like Disney halting releases in Russia) but there is SO much more going on behind the scenes. idk if people here are interested in digging into this rabbit hole but I figured there could be some catharsis in shitting on crappy employers while also informing us on which warmongers to boycott.
Gratitude is the way /s
I think it’s more about control than actual efficiency. If my being 50 seconds late to lunch costs the company, then having to use your shitty systems all day every day must be costing a fortune.
Like, really. Please, tell me. What about berating workers who are doing their work and performing optimally, does to you? Does it tickle your coochie beans or something? This is why I block you from calling me or whatsapping me. Don't be irritating. Use your discretion. If you're trying to get on to me, good luck. You can please refer to my work email. You give these fools an ounce of authority and all of a sudden their tongue salivating at the sight of seeing your email being received at 4:16pm when they tell you send it by 4:15pm.
I've long said that these old-ass people came into the workforce with their parents retiring at 55, so had plenty of room to move up, and then are staying until they are 70 because they didn't save any money. This mild-ass pandemic that came for the ill, the obese, and the elderly got them to GTFO of the way, and it looks like we can now make the money at 40 that they were making at 30. On the other side, NPR is saying, “This retirement could be bad for the economy,” and by the economy, they mean giant businesses that are now their sponsors Why millions of older Americans are retiring early in the wake of the pandemic – YouTube In fact, they call it “retiring early.”
Work Chronicles gets it
Ok, I have no idea what to do here. Based in the UK, and I left this job summer last year (due to stuff that would make this sub have an aneurism, they made me work a shift covered in piss but that's a story for another day). Anyway, I'm still close with people that work there, and I actually know some of the people who replaced me anyway. So I found out from them recently that the company has hired a 15 y/o girl for work experience, and she's having sex with the manager. There's no written proof of it, but they've been caught making out at work. This is so many levels of horrible, but I have no idea what to do. Do I go to the police? She's denying it so it's not like they'd have a case. This just isn't sitting right with me at all.…
should we make abolish hotels a thing?
Based on the booklet “abolish restourants”, I have been thinking if the same crticism of there, expands to hotelery industry. inns are fine, RBBs are fine! but big hotels, corporation chain hotels, etc, is what I Am refering to. isnt a luxury hotel just a kind of giant restourant with identical rooms? do we really need a hotel for holidays,as opposed to traditional small family-run iins?
