I'm a shipping coordinator. I deal with people at work. It is company policy that people in the office wear masks. Yesterday our pompous sale ass showed up shouting orders and posturing like he has authority. I've seen this guy twice in the few months I've worked at this place. He starts on this tirade about masks and vaccines, and I walk out. I have had 2 friends die from COVID before they made it to 40. People who don't take it serious boil my blood. Later this guy out right refused to wear a mask even though every office worker and every production worker and every truck driver were wearing a mask. He then asked me to go find something for him at the end of my shift. He's expecting me to have it for him Monday. I'm not going to help him. I'm not going to ask anyone…
My bad… you missed the prep call.
What happens to small businesses?
I know the popular sentiment here is that if a business can’t afford to pay workers living wages they don’t deserve to be open. I agree that businesses should pay living wages but what happens when these mega corporations DO fall in line and offer tuition assistance and living wage and healthcare and other perks and so on? In other words, if/when the baseline gets raised significantly, as is the goal, it will be even easier for the big guys to crush small businesses and the gap will grow and grow. When they are starting out and money is tight and they make one misstep that will be a death knell if they have to…
Hey antiwork…
With all the work horror stories you tell…why do you name the actual companies so rarely? Wouldn't it be beneficial for us all to know which companies to avoid? Or is the concern to avoid accusations of libel and defamation? (sorry if this has been asked before)
This subreddit is great and all. But the rich are still fucking us over. We can shutdown companies with boycotting, why arent we doing anything, this is serious
How to avoid tax legally!
the powers that be are doing an excellent job of confusing people as to WHY we’re seeing the biggest inflation in decades. now obviously this is hugely complex issue with many contributing factors, but it’s also important to try to isolate what’s arguably the “biggest” reasons the economic landscape has so suddenly changed. link to the run away inflation we’ve been seeing since June 2020 perhaps not surprisingly, this is more or less in line with all the stimulus money that started with the CARES Act during covid. what i’m worried about is the “forgotten story” of the 500 billion tax dollars we gave to the wealthy corporations… it’s the second largest bubble listed here.. link so they took 500 Billion of OUR tax dollars.. allocated it to wealthy corporations.. and IMMEDIATELY sold that along with 200 Billion in mortgage backed securities to The Fed for 850…
