Recently got a promotion, and he “went to bat” for me. Well I got dicked around as an internal candidate for the SECOND time, so I started looking. Found a company down the street offering: Higher salary Bonus incentives Higher 401k match More vacation time Career development programs Company phone 3 day work weeks (5 now) Absolutely hilarious why he would be confused as to why I'm leaving the Chinese owned shithole I'm currently working at. So I took the promotion, banged them for 3 weeks at a salary increase and gave my two weeks. They then said I couldn't use my vacation time in my two weeks, so I rewrote my resignation letter and quit a week earlier and had them pay me out. Feeling like I won. Thanks got reading.

The reason I haven’t got it is because I’ve had to take time off during covid to self isolate, and because I was legally obligated to isolate due to housemates contracting covid. The reason I had to work from home is because I’m disabled. I’m chronically ill and high risk from covid. My co-workers have all gotten £800+ of bonuses for the year whilst I’ve gotten absolutely nothing. Is this a type of discrimination?

So basically my dad registered a concrete company back in 2018 and it has just been mainly us two working. We have been growing and getting more work so we need workers so i told my dad about the idea of getting unionized at my company and he thought it was a good idea. i work at a very popular fast food restaurant that only allows 3 call outs a month. (doctor’s note means nothing to them) i’ve been super sick with over a 100 fever, throwing up, diarrhea, along with many other symptoms. they don’t care. i work in the kitchen and handle the food of thousands of customers a day. i was gonna try to go in today even though i’m still miserable but woke up throwing up again. so i decided to call out and was threatened to be fired. oh well. i’m fucking sick of it.
