Ok so need advice from you guys. My girlfriend just left this company but as she was on the way out her coworker and friend walled in on the CEO and another coworker having sexual relations in an office. She ended up reporting it to the operations manager who in turn reported it to the owner of the company. Owner then fired CEO who denies everything even tho the one he was hooking up with confessed everything. CEO sues for wrongful termination and for whatever reason was brought back on. He hires a new operations manager shortly after (the first one was also on her way out for unrelated reasons) and has my girlfriends friend (the one who reported the misconduct) fired…. Does she have any recourse? Is that legal?

WTF American Work Culture is so horrible
So I am not American but a contractor for an American company. I work with many Americans and damn what kind of work culture is this even 11 pm calls and 6:30 am calls in the morning. Idk how much they get paid close to 70-80k probably but like wtf I thought I wouldn't tolerate BS like that and thats me coming from a third world country. Where Labour violations are an everyday thing. I don't even understand how people would get their Friday night and Sat morning ruined for this kind of BS. They should atleast get a day off before if you want them to work on Friday Night and Saturday morning.
So here is some background information. I am from an affluent family in a developing country called Malaysia. P.S the work culture here is toxic just like any Asian country. My father was born poor and worked his way up society doing business in the auto industry. He is currently in his mid 40s, he still manages his business but mostly online. He spends most of his time managing his business through phone, playing golf, drinking with friends and biking across town. He rarely returns to his company headquarters for work, only occasionally to do a check-up. Naturally, from his point of view, he believes in a full meritocracy for anyone who is smart and works hard enough. I am new to this subreddit. This happened years ago. I had surgery on my leg and couldn’t walk properly for a while.
