My boyfriend's boss tried to gaslight him last week by saying labor costs were too high, despite staffing levels being at bare minimum. So basically implying employee wages were too high and discouraging workers from believing they were owed more. This comment about labor costs was made shortly after employees had brought it to attention that they were “accidentally” being paid 50 cents less per hour than agreed when they were hired. I am not buying these coincidences, so I tell him to ask for the data to back up their claims that “labor costs are unsustainable at 51% of total monthly cost to operate”. They got back to him with the numbers and apologized that they had calculated them wrong, labor costs were only at 30%. These owners also refuse to accept customer or employee feedback to improve the business and left the heat broken for all of January…
UPDATE Not all faith is lost in the unemployment system. My claim was approved despite my previous employers many mistakes and trying to say I quit. No hearing was even needed. I'm so happy I could cry. I'm thankful that finally something went right. I have a little less stress the next few months. I submitted more paperwork as recommended by everyone. Thank you all! Reasoning and Findings The claimant's leaving work is determined to be involuntary, for urgent, compelling, and necessitous reasons. You were unable to return to work following the expiration of a medical leave of absence. Consequently, you lost your employment. ORIGINAL POST My previous employer fired me while I was on medical leave following a major surgery. As requested, I was regularly supplying letters from my surgeons office that explained I…

We basically live in a system where life has lost meaning and where happyness and lasure is a luxury few can afford. People are getting radicalized left and right, and I feel like the only way to scape it is alienation. If people can't get food, if people have to put their life's on the line during a pandemic so rich can get more yachts, if the governments keep not providing minimum support for people, if you have less and less access to education and arts…. How do you not get radicalized? We are being pushed to an extreme where many have to decide between the “economy” and the environment – and it's hard to choose to starve or see your community dismantle by lack of money in order to preserve Earth. Ecology is almost just a hippie concept when you have to continue to labor or else. Sorry, I'm…

It’s time we physically take the money from the rich and distribute it to the poor. Don’t know bout you guys but since this pandemic started I’m doin outlaw shit because at this point I can’t pay my bills. So my message is do what you gotta do. Sell what you gotta sell. We got no bread and they tellin us to eat cake. Fuck the police, fuck the government, fuck big pharma, and fuck the corporations. I’m declaring war on all of you. Your blood will spill and your money will disappear, God Willing.
If you're not familiar it's basically writing blogs and linking merchandise to Amazon or whatever retailer. Sounds good and you don't have to give references. If you need proof, link to any blog with links to Amazon and say it's your pseudonym. I found out they were paying me more than my supervisor. I don't do Affiliate Marketing.
I am a full licensed masters level clinical social worker LMSW. I had to job hop and be unstable/ in between jobs for the past 4 months to FINALLY accepting a job yesterday that pays me 65 k. SO I am happy about that but it made me think… I see advertisements all the time on indeed for home based MASTERS LEVEL THERAPISTS offering 42k. It is sickening. I am 75 k in student loan debt and I know others have even more. We work with those most vulnerable. We work with those who have mental illness, suicidal, have substance abuse issues, homeless etc. I feel that is why we are underpaid….. because the privileged and the elite do not care about them. So, they don’t care about us who help them. But how are we supposed to help them when we are overburdened with debt just to accept a…
I am a plumber. I have been working for a plumbing company for 2 weeks now. I must have missed in the handbook that hair can be no longer than shoulder length… for a plumber.. I have excelled at this company and was told from the owner himself that I know more than 90 percent of his crew and would be getting a 6+ dollar raise soon and my own truck. It has been cold and I have kept it in a hat because it gets in my face while working. This morning was the first time he has seen me with long hair. He kind of flipped his shit and told me to cut it by tomorrow. Of course I told him that I will not be cutting my hair for this position (service plumber) and even bargained that I move to a different position (new installation) if my…
