Hey everyone. I'm in an interesting situation with my employer, a private university. I posted last week explaining that the majority of my team had been fired on the spot. I've since learned that the external firm brought in to replace them doesn't employ a designer or developer, giving myself and my remaining coworker a bit of leverage. We're now being told to return to the office for a few days a week after being fully remote for the last two years. I've already voiced my opinion that without an internal team to reunite with, there's little to no reason for us to be on campus. I have an upcoming meeting in which I'm considering giving an ultimatum (let me remain fully remote or fire me) and I want to know what kind of repercussions I could be looking at it if I go through with it. Hello All, I'm asking for a raise in my job that is currently denying me insurance and fulltime status. I'm fighting for full time status and trying to get our finance committee (made up of boomers) that what I'm being paid isn't sustainable income. After taxes and healthcare costs, I make 12.31 an hour. This is with a master degree in the field that I'm working in. I'm 5 hours away from fulltime status. When I requested a raise previously to afford health care, I was told to work more. Anyway, drafting a petty letter. Please give me your best credible sources for this

Not sure if this is really the place for this but, does anyone know jobs that are great for staying at home and don’t require as much commitment? I struggle a lot with getting out and having the energy to function. I’m hoping something I can do at home, semi in my control will help me a lot. If you were terminated 10 mins before your shift and boss tells you return all the equipment by 48 hours and drop it off in the mailroom office. So I work at a branch of grocery stores under Kroger. A worker had to leave because he was sick. At the same time, we had to clean more because of some health inspection stuff. Okay no biggie. I work for one of the two major pet stores. I groom dogs and get paid hourly+ commission+ tips. I work in one of the oldest stores and our crap is falling apart. Everytime we have a DM over or something they promise us equipment and never follow through. Despite this I have some of the best numbers in the district. I have had the best numbers for three years. I'm not going to get into the runaround they have been giving me about making pro groomer. I make the numbers but never get it. So I take a lot of breaks.
