Hi, so, basically I fucking hate my job and I really tried doing it for the longest time and did my best but I just can't do it any longer. I dread waking up every morning and spending the day stressing about work, having no time to do anything. Next week, there's a trip prepared and I'd rather shoot myself in the head than thinking of spending another week even MORE stressed about work.. But I haven't found anything yet or applied to anything. I've been thinking about this for so long but haven't had the guts to actually do it. Help?

Has any noticed how on point mr.crabs is to the corp world -Only does what's needed to keep from being fined -Pinches every penny to maximize profits. -Doesn't offer overtime or time off of anytime. Comes up with anything possible to maximize profits. Complains constantly about lost revenue. Anything possible to avoid any type of refund. Tried to kill/hide him to fake employees death(squidward) to make a profit off of his paintings when he died. The more I watch him now the more I see it in how he acts.
Is this normal? Do they really expect me to be on call for them to potentially call me for three fucking hours on Saturday, one of my two days off? As if I don’t have any fucking life at all and can just sit around anxiety-ridden waiting at their beck and call? All for a (probably unpaid) internship over the summer.
Boomer level valed corporate bullshit
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/11/01/heres-how-inflation-may-impact-raises-this-year.html In other words if you don't eat that avocado toast then you're not affected by inflation, therefore you shouldn't feel bad if your employer doesn't bother to raise your pay.
Got work hours cut from schedule
I know this sub is about doing less work but I’m barely getting enough hours to even pay for my bills, to summarize it’s been my 2nd consecutive day of being called in, working for an hour or two, and being sent home due to “labor hours” and “lack of customers”. During those two days however the night was starting to get busy as people started coming in. The general manager and senior manager were the ones who sent me back and I don’t know the owner or district manager Anything I can do about this?
Title says all.
Questions on my rights as an employee
So I work as a receptionist/ adoption specialist at a shelter, flash back about a month ago close to closing for the day a man came in with a bag of raw hides to donate, we can’t use rawhides, which we were going to tell him but his pushy very off vibe made us feel maybe we should just accept them. He wanted us to let him into the kennels to give the dogs the treats, which we can’t do and let him know. He accepted that and mentioned he was going to volunteer at the shelter before he left. I asked his name before he left and politely said I’d look out for him. After we closed my coworker and I called our volunteer manager up front and told her hey this guy came in said he was going to volunteer kinda was being pushy and making us uncomfortable,…
Grapes of Wrath Comparison
“The great owners ignored the three cries of history. The land fell into fewer hands, the number of the dispossessed increased, and every effort of the great owners was directed at repression. The money was spent for arms, for gas to protect the great holdings, and spies were sent to catch the murmuring of revolt so that it might be stamped out. The changing economy was ignored, plans for the change ignored; and only means to destroy revolt were considered, while the causes of revolt went on.” Yup. This is now.
Homophobic comments from other employees
My girlfriend was recently hired at a small company to build their quality management system. The CEOs want to go after FDA approval and that can’t happen without a QMS. Things started out really great, but soon people didn’t want to change the way they were doing things. It was more work and more accountability. This went from employees to even management started to circumvent the processes overriding the whole systems they wanted in place. Well, that in combination with a mask policy put in place by quality (management supported at the time 100%) did not make people very appreciative of her specifically but the whole team too. Other employees started taking her job and what she was asked to do by management personally and eventually now her personally. Her boss is two-faced. He wants to be friends with everyone, and when other people don’t like each other, you end…
I am very overwhelmed for my future
This might be the wrong sort of area to ask for advice on my future, but I've recently been overwhelmed by my options for work and the stress of having to support myself within the next few years (normal stuff). Here's where I'm at: I'm 18 and currently in my first year, second semester of college. I had originally been planning to go towards being a PA, but quite frankly, it's become apparent to me that I am in no way smart enough or dedicated enough to earn that sort of degree. I could go into another medical field, but online learning being the standard for every medical class has been killing my motivation to learn anymore within that field. At this point, I'm not really sure where to go. I'm currently planning to maybe take some different types of classes, but I'm just gonna finish an associate of science…
