Server shot in face over $3 hamburger
I work with a bunch of boomers. Nobody has time for me or takes me very seriously. This is incredibly frusturating and sveryday I feel like I am fighting a loosing battle.
So fellow fed up workers I'm on the brink of a mental health collapse due to a client that treats me like shit that I've always been nice to and management attempting to cover it up. How to approach this for a lawsuit?
Smh (shaking my head)
At the first interview 8 months ago, it was never mentioned that I'd need a drivers licence. My job description does not require it one bit, since I work with patients and their samples in a laboratory. Now, all of a sudden, even alongside 2 drivers we have hired AND all other staff members having pre obtained drivers licences, I need to get one aswell. In my country it's 100€ per month, for 12 months in a row of payments. My paycheck is 1000€ a month. Meaning a whole 10% of my paycheck would be allocated to a drivers licence I don't need at all. Neither my partner, parents nor I have a car. Nor do we need one… And now I'd have to get the license because “I'll use it anyway in the future for personal reasons”. No I won't. And I'm not paying for shit.
I'm suggesting a “Pauper's Civil Rights Act.” This could create an avenue for suing any city that blocks low income housing, by having the courts treat them no different than they would treat a city that tries to stop black people from moving in. It could also put states in a position where they have to make college both affordable and accessible for the working poor – which means a lot more online and self-paced options just to avoid the weight of losing another civil rights lawsuit. Pharmaceutical companies that jack up the price of insulin or epi-pens without good cause could also be sued under a “Pauper's Civil Rights Act,” effectively blocking attempts at price-gouging in anything that people need to live. Basically any…

So I called in sick today after going through my morning routine of digesting covid news and global news and to my horror I saw that Russia has indeed started invading Ukraine.. I (21M, living in England) called my manager and said due to the conflict I cannot come in. I get anxious easily and world affairs always trouble me. My managers response when I told him? That if i'm not sick or don't need parental or dependant leave, it's not a valid reason, and he was kind of laughing alittle i'm sure I heard it, as he said it? He said russia has nothing to do with the UK and then asked if I had family or friends living over there, I said no, so he said what's the problem then can you come in, that I can take it easy today or something. I was mortified and didn't…
San Diego could work out well… I’ll just need a sharpie and some cardboard for some cash on occasion. Other than that I’ll chill at the library and read some books I’ve been meaning to indulge in.
