So this isn’t problem going to be seen but this is prob the best way to quit. I was a store manager at a privately owned pet store chain and So this was a couple years ago before minimum wage was 15 in NYC it was still like 11 and was being raised every year I believe. So the owner was getting mad that they would have to give all their employees raises and was talking how can’t believe I have to give this young kids X amount of money now and trying ways to figure to minimize their funding on employees. So what they started doing is firing managers who were making a decent amount of money and promoting those younger people into the position for a couple of cents more then what they were making before or having those manager who make a decent amount manage 2 stores.…
I was told to find a new job, so I did
I started working for a field services company about 4 years ago. Early on and over the years I kept taking on other people's roles. Naively thinking that it would get me further ahead with the company. There was a person who worked for them in IT for about 10 years before I joined. He quit to start his own business without training the next person. When I arrived I was asked to fill his role. I was yelled at constantly, expected to deliver without any training. All I had was some log in passwords to the servers and I had to figure out the rest myself. And oh yeah I was expected to do field work as well. Fast forward to this month. I've completely taken over the role and much more. Brought their system to modern standards while flying and driving all over the country. I ask to…
Sacred obligation my ass
Nation wide strike March 7th
Fuck this. FUCK THIS. Homeless people on every street. People can’t pay bills. Families can’t eat. Workers can’t rest. Rich get richer. We live in squalor and under constant anxiety of life getting flushed away with one surprise financial burden. “America the beautiful” my ASS. This shitty country doesn’t care about us or want us. What we forget is that we have the fucking numbers. what the hell are they gonna do if the entire country just stops. They can’t nuke all of us. It can be so easy. Dont go to work, who gives a shit about clocking in at walmart if you’re gonna still have to go hungry for dinner cuz you had to pay for the gas to get to work that day. If even half the country decides to strike at once, fuckin march on washington if we need to. demand change. we can get this…
Hi friends, I’m Australian and I’ve noticed a lot of post on here are about the US health care system. Now it’s pretty easy to see why your government wouldn’t want to push for universal health care (UHC) but I’ve always wanted to know what the talking points are, how do they and people that don’t want UHC actually justify it? Edit1: I truly believe the powers that be don’t want you to have UHC as a way to force you to work crappy jobs, if you have any medical conditions you can’t take a risk on a new job or a small business.
