Scheduled for a whopping two days this week

There are no other jobs around and I have no car. I cannot survive off this job at 12/hr. The stress of money is destroying my relationship with my partner. I'm honestly considering just riding the disability train at this point. What the actual fuck am I supposed to do?

10 hour reset rule question

So im not sure if this is the right place, but today Im probably going to be working 15 hours + 9 hours and was wondering about the OT pay. So this morning I worked 3am to 8am, and Im now going back in to work 5pm to 2:30am. Since there isn't a 10 hour gap between shifts that 9 hour gap is straight overtime pay, as well as the 10 hours in my second shift, equalling 19hours OT and 5 hours regular time. My question though, is the last 2 hours in my second shift 1.5x pay or would that be 2x pay? Edit: I live in Texas

So we’ve been given the news that my office might be going hybrid soon.

This means we'll be WFH and in-office starting in a few months. They'll be trying out certain days of the month to start out. While the necessary items like health and security were addressed, one MAIN reason why this was brought up… …so that we can have lunch and coffee with our co-workers again. Never in my life have I heard such bullshit.

Forget the money aspect of things

It’s hard to change the structure of pay in certain fields of work so I’ve discovered my main motivation to stick around and work is so that my son hopefully doesn’t have to choose between working and spending uninterrupted time with his future children. I feel like even when I’m with him, I’m worried about how something is going to be paid. I’d say the ultimate luxury is spending that time without the worry or stress caused by work and bills that come with it. That’s my motivation at least

Two potential job offers went in opposite directions…

My current company wanted us all to come back to the office in the next 3-4 months. For reference, I've been working remotely for 2 years due to covid. Even though a few employees voiced their desire to work from home (it's a small business), the owner preferred the “culture” of the office (bland cubicles, the owner being able to walk around to talk to people, etc.). This was one reason that I decided to look for other work, fully remote work, in addition to the much higher pay for remote positions for the same job. Without trying to brag, my skill set it highly sought after by businesses, so I received 3 offers nearly back-to-back. Option A paid $X, but the health insurance was poor and it would require me to travel 25% of the time. Option B paid $X – 15%, but had great insurance, more vacation time,…

“you’re lucky you get paid at all”

I am sick of hearing it. Those joke/comments my boss will make occasionally thinking he is funny while perpetuating the concept that he is providing money to us as some sort of courtesy or favor to us. “you're lucky you get paid at all” This was the the latest one. Like he pretends he has the option to not pay? I know it is a joke but the impression it gives is as if he is doing us a favor by him actually doing his only damn job. End Rant.

Given a 5% raise, for doing the work of two separate positions. I was told “oh that’s a great raise, you will definitely see that in your check”.

Just got home. Can't believe what a joke of a raise it is. I make 42,000 a year and after this raise it will be 44,190 which is the equivalent to 181$ increase after taxes a month. I feel gutted and destroyed. This is a non profit and normally this second position makes $50,000 a year. I was expecting at a minimum, $15,000 raise and this is an utter joke. My hours have more than tripled and if I could have afforded it, I would have walked out right then. I didn't bother to negotiate because I knew it wouldn't matter. Right when I was driving home I called my husband and asked when the earliest I could quit is. Looking at our budget I could quit is in March. Like the last week of March. Since reading all the stories here on the subreddit I've decided that I will…
