As the title suggests: why do I keep hearing people can’t qualify for a mortgage? Two years ago at 24, 4 months into a new job in a new state with no prior home ownership/rental history I qualified. My only debt was 6-figures of student loans. I put zero down on a new home and qualified with no hassle. This isn’t a humble brag, I just genuinely don’t understand what is precluding “so many people” from qualifying for a mortgage. Perhaps it’s not as widespread as it seems, or maybe there are other conditions contributing to that problem.
I work overnight for an airport in Kentucky and tonight we had some severe weather in the form of lightning storms which caused us to shut down the ramp for a while. 0152-0222, and 0230-0245. During this time one of our ramp managers made the call that this downtime would be our lunch. I pointed out to our supervisor that this would be in violation of Kentucky’s laws regarding breaks and meal periods, which states “In no case shall an employee be required to take a lunch period sooner than three (3) hours after the work shift commences” and the response I got was, verbatim, “Copy, from said higher up “go to HR if need be but this is operational need for this weather”. “ I know HR isnt actually going to do anything, as others have complained about this before and it’s a recurring issue. I was wondering if…
How many applications do you do a week and also do you call in sick ir take the day off for when u have a interview. Ive used too many PTO and sick leaves so far at my current place and only have a few annual leaves left. What do i do. Also, is it really so wrong for ne to quit my job. I feel so guilty especially with my parents. The current job is not my career choice and i would also like time off to learn other things such as trading and ACCA. But my parents are just gonna be annoyed that i will quit without a next job ready. For context i live with my parents and i graduated 10months ago. I do a admin job for past 7/8 months. I want to get into accounting. 21yo
Boss told me to take PTO
So last week I emailed my boss saying I was bringing my stuff home cause I doubted I'd be able to make it in safely the next day due to weather. I can do my job almost completely from home. Schools were closed, ect. I tried getting my vehicle out of our driveway and we'll that wasn't happening. So I let him know I was right can't make it in, I have all my stuff I'll work from home. He said no just take a PTO day. Like what the fuck you dumbass. Well morale of that because of his dumbassery we lost a huge customer because I refused to answer the phone cause I was on PTO. Is this something I can do about this?!
Where’s my expense check?
I submitted an expense request in December for 2021 for $1200 that was approved by my manager. It included the cost of a computer that I purchased exclusively for WFH, also approved. Still waiting on upper management to cut the check because someone in another department purchased a computer that was not approved, and this for some reason is causing them to question my purchase. And they still haven’t paid out the other expenses either
People don't quit jobs, they quit managers. Shitty pay is the fault of management, shitty conditions are also the fault of management. Place the blame where it rightly belongs
