Given that it's now over a year since Biden took office who do you guys think does the most for driving up the standard of workers? I had great hopes for Trumps America first policy but not sure it delivered
I don’t understand
If no one on earth is working then how do you get food? If nobody is working, nobody is going to produce food or any other thing. How would a world without anyone working work ?
Meritocracy is a Myth
What is your dream job?
Disability, work and leaching benefits
Havnt worked much in my life. I try and fail. I always associate work with great depression. A few weeks inn of any job the wave of depression hits and im unable to keep going. Recently diagnosed as having bipolar and signed up for benefits. Having the little extra money is good but i cannot secure a future of joy with this little money. I honestly want to be earning money but the stress that comes from selling 1/3 of my life does not motivate me to keep going. I get called a leach for surviving off others tax. This isnt the situation I dreamed of and it hurts. I want something that is fullfilling. Having to wake up at 5am coming home late for money that isnt much does not drive me. I have a sales rep interview on monday and although the idea of making money properly is…
I've been lurking for a long while in here, and there's been a lot of low- and mid- level chatter about “capitalism bad”, and “we need co-ops” or “we need socialism/communism”. I would like to posit a theory of my own. TL;DR, for those that want it: “Capitalism and Communism are two sides of the same coin, and either side can as easily be fouled by the mud of corporatism.” There's your soundbite. And now to the TEDTalk… Capitalism and Communism share (in my mind at least), a common theme, which is the idea that the worker should own their work. Where they differ is that Communism, when tried outside of laboratory conditions, runs everything through the State. The entire Motherland IS the Company Store. To redistribute goods and services from those who have too much to those who have not enough REQUIRES an extensive logistical network, which then requires…
So I barely started working at this company call center and during training I’ve been told that if I have to go to the restroom during our work scheduled shifts I would need to make up for that time missing Example: Clock out is at 6:30 so if I go to the restroom for 5 mins I have to make up for them at the end of my shift and clock out at 6:35 Also this are 8 hrs shifts with 2 15 min breaks (not flexible for me but if we get a high volume of calls I will be rescheduled both of the breaks) and 30 min lunch (which can also be rescheduled) should I walk out? Seriously I think thats some horse shit
