I work for a major autoglass company, and I have only been a technician for a little over half a year. I enjoy the work of what I do, and the pay is good, benefits are semi lacking but better than other jobs I have had. I am working hard so my wife can get her Vetrenary Doctorate, so I am very much needing the money. Recently, management has been pushing more work on me than I can handle. I feel as if I can not do the work safely and meet the amount of work put on me. I brought this issue up with my manager, who up until recently I had a good amount of respect for. I was told that after being a technician for 1 year, this amount of work is expected. Again, I have only been doing this for a little more than 7 months.…
I’m a new employee at a company I’ve been wanting to working at for a while. To clarify, I’ve been working here for about over a month. On a Saturday, I get hit with a sickness, I feel like complete shit, sore throat, fever, headache—I feel light headed as hell. So I asked my supervisor on text, if I should come in still, but I let him know I was sick. He replies back and texts, yes I should come in to work, and asks why (motherfucker, I’m sick, and hello? COVID-19??). He then proceeds to send another text asking about my symptoms. So I list the symptoms (sore throat, headache, and a bit of a fever), and he texts me that it’s okay, to just stay home. So obviously I stay home, why the fuck would I want to spread my sickness in the middle of an ongoing pandemic?…

I've been on the hunt for a job since August of 2021. This is the latest bull I just went through. On January 10th, I applied for a remote Lead WordPress Developer position. January 12th, I get an email saying they'll be scheduling interviews starting at the end of the month. January 27th, I finally get the email stating they're ready to move forward with scheduling interviews. I had to fill out a short form (was like 5 questions) then was redirected to their booking calendar. This was included in that email: “Please note – there will only be time slots available for the month of February. If the times presented do not work for your schedule, please feel free to email me directly and we can work out a different time.” *** Quick back story; I'm currently a stay at home dad of 7 years to two special needs…
Best ways to get money without working?
The title says it all
Petition to help front line workers.
I work at a family owned bar, and a lot of what we do is not run by the books. For example, my coworkers and I work from 7pm – 2 am. Our shift ends at 2 but we work until 2:30 but we don’t get paid for those 30 minutes extra we worked. Also there have been multiple occasions where the tip money we get paid out doesn’t amount to the money we should Be getting and we have our suspicion that our employer is keeping the difference. These are just a few examples that occur in our workplace and a lot more sketchy shit happens often. what can I do or who can I go to so that we and future employees can have a better workplace ? Also to add insult to injury we do not get any breaks, lunch or any kind of benefits whatsoever. thank…
