Can we stop with the pro-corporate posts?

I’m talking about the posts that are pics of fast food hiring signs, heaping praise on these mega-corporations for paying what is barely a living wage and providing the bare minimum of benefits. With hundreds of comments praising how well they treat their employees, their delicious food and their low low prices, while the comments from people who actually work there are way down at the bottom. I can’t help but feel suspicious when I see dozens of comments mentioning “always fresh never frozen!”, “great benefits, happy workers!” and “damn can’t wait till I get off work so I can get some orange chicken/a double double etc!” Listen to the workers. Panda Express, In N Out, Dick’s and McDonald’s don’t care about you. They are not here to save us. Being not as bad as the absolute worst doesn’t mean they’re good.

A response to a recruiter reaching out to me on LinkedIn in solidarity with the current and previous employees of this company. It’s time the game changes and we start holding potential employers to their own references and reviews of working at their company.

Think Hollywood is Immune to the Bullshit of a Standard 9-5? Guess Again. It Looks Like a Major Movie Studio Stole My Film, Remade It, and Didn’t Pay Me a Dime

In 2011, I wrote and directed a no-budget movie called “Memory Lane”. I shot it in my grandma's garage with a camera from Wal-Mart and my roommates as actors. Somehow, it was good enough to world-premiere at Sci-Fi London in May 2012 and ultimately be released in 13 (I think) countries on VOD and wherever DVDs were sold (pretty awesome to see our little movie on shelves at Target next to big, Hollywood releases). Fast forward to August 2021. I get a text: “Bruh. I just watched your movie on HBO Max. It's called 'Reminiscence'.” I headed over to HBO Max, turned on “Reminiscence” and was blown away. Not because it was good. But because it was my movie. Same character names. Same plot points. Ads for their movie used my film's title and retooled tagline. I contacted attorneys immediately. None of them would take the case mainly because you're…

Using your Leverage

This is the third in a series of posts I've made here trying to spread useful knowledge. This is a follow up on how my scheme to take more control over my own employment has worked out. I'm happy to report the op was more than successful. I not only am guaranteed the schedule I want, the head of the store was so moved by my performance that she gave me her personal number. Now I have a direct line to the highest physical authority within the building. I'm pretty sure she wants to fuck me. Nice lady but not my type. Of course this is irrelevant as seduction is the best tool of any Interzone agent. Regardless, I will probe management for further information. Possibly penetrate the digital security v'ger with my specialized ACME usdICK penetration tool. For now though resume cover as a degenerate on Reddit. Transmission Complete.…
