They're going to “anonymize” the data to give management feedback. Sure. Sure they are. Everyone is required to participate.
Is this illegal?
I worked at a smoothie shop, and every shift I could make myself a smoothie. However, the ones that I made myself were larger than the regular alotted size. Is there anything illegal about this? Arizona
Why are companies so shady about pay?
I interviewed for a gymnastics coaching job and was contacted two days later to come in for shadowing. When I asked the interviewer to confirm they could pay wage I was asking (because she avoided it in the interview) she replied with “we aren’t hiring coaches at this time.” Why try to trap me? Did they expect me to stay after finding out they’re willing to pay a fraction of what I need to survive? Ridiculous and unprofessional, and not my first experience of this kind.
When I finished writing this as a comment i knew I had to make it a post too to give people ideas and let them know they have power Post link here for more context https://www.reddit.com/r/antiwork/comments/t4o9ej/a_competing_company_is_offering_us_20_percent/ “Ok tell me how much does management get paid and then their bosses and so on Do you have good management who try and care? How do clock ins work these days?
Last time I had a minimum wage job was in 2003, so it has been a while. But the other day my wife and I were by a restaurant that wasn't open yet and we saw workers congregating. Which reminded me of those scenarios. I remember we used to show up and wait for the manager to arrive and open the door for us to be able to clock in (clock in box was inside). When the manager is late and we are on time, that was basically lost wages. Has this been fixed in the almost 20 years since I experienced it?
Curious because as far as I know, when it comes to days off for Christmas, if it ends up on a weekend, we get the Monday or Friday off. So how come some companies don’t do the same when it’s comes to Easter since it’s on a Sunday?
