Can my employer revoke staff discount even though it’s on contract.

Unsure where to post this but I thought someone here would atleast have a clue to this, full context is that there is stock missing from our bar and managers have suspicions that it was from somehow from us. They have reason to believe so as there are quite a few that come in off shift to have a drink and it's not out of question. But they are threatening to remove our 50% discount and revoking access to the building off hours. As far as my research goes revoking access from the building is doable for them, but the 50% off staff food/drinks is on our contract as a benefit of working there. Is there any advice on what to do just to tell them this isn't doable for them? This is in the UK

My Job Asked Me To Come Back

Hi, all! I used to work for a foodservice company called Compass Group. I was headhunted after graduating, and spent five years serving as a traveling manager and fill-in. I moved across states 4 times in as many years, and basically acted as Director for any account that had lost someone suddenly or needed guidance. Signed a 5-year contracy, bought a house, and moved across the country again. Six months into my employment, my contract was terminated. No one would tell me what was going on for nearly 2 months. I only finally got answers by calling my old boss and begging, through tears, for him to give…

They were trying to get free labor so I walked

Worked at this company for a year. Started with a temp agency, so technically, only 9 months directly for them. The way they do PTO is that 10 hours are accrued per month. They give you 120 hours in bulk in october. I saw my balance and thought, “Well, hell, better use it. Surely I'll get more through the year. ” Long story short, it didn't work out that way. I used 110 hours of it (between two weeks requested and sick/out days) and figured out I was tired of them and put in my notice. They then informed me that I'd end up oweing them money for some PTO time i hadn't 'earned'. At first, I was accepting of it. Then they told me they'd be taking my last check. I asked if I could make an arrangement. They said nah. I said f*ck you guys and left. Never…

I thought this belonged here. Everywhere in Europe, there are constant strikes for better pay and benefits. And it works!! Why are Americans just lying down and taking it? (I’m Dutch, and this is how it looks to me). Thoughts?
