She’s called me fat/big, said I’m not pretty and most people I come across say I am, she’s called me dumb, has accused me of trying to copy her and wanting to be like her by going to the same gym but I was the one who told her about lifting. I don’t understand what this bitch problem is

My boss is cutting my hours for these two reasons: 1. Because I won’t let him change my availability to 11:00PM-6:00AM( It is currently 11:00PM-5:00AM) 2. In retaliation to me contacting my union representative in response to cutting my hours My boss also retaliated against me by harassing me all throughout time that I was working until left. Making it a hostile work environment. I am trying to get eeoc involved and I hope I have case.

After over 30 years as an unwilling participant in employment I find myself (M 48) in the fortunate position of being able to leave, take a break and plan a new way of living. I work for an outsourcing company and while I have got myself dropped from my current project I have to wait a certain amount of time to be made redundant and collect a decent amount of severance pay. I am in the UK. My employer looks for alternative placements where they can make money out of me and I have to submit a resume to assist with this. Only if they can’t find a suitable role will I get my redundancy. So I want to have some fun with this and make myself as unattractive as possible! Any ideas?

Similarly to how in a lot of good states/countries people are automatically registered to vote when they reach voting age(even though they sometimes chose not to vote) a very nice system to have would be to automatically register one for a union when they get to working age (plenty of general unions exist that accept workers of all stripes). Or alternatively when they get a job at a workplace. Like if you get hired as a cashier you will automatically be registered as part of a national cashier union.

As a new grad I got my first job as a researcher/assistant at a university. I was reluctant to work in my field, as the last couple of years of uni were rough on my mental health and Covid caused my practical skills to be nonexistent. But as applications out of my field were getting nowhere, I decided to give this job a shot. In my interview I was honest and explained I lacked the practical skills necessary. 6 months later and I’m writing this in my office where I’m doing nothing in particular. They have pretty much left me on my own, without any sort of mentorship or coherent structure to my work. I don’t really get included in any discussions and just get most of my info when overhearing it from someone else. I am expected to help with students practical courses, when I have no experience myself.…

I think most people feel like billionaires shouldnt exist.They have far too much economical/political power in the current world. I honestly dont know how a person with 900 million dollarrs can want for anything in their lives.Whats the point of allowing them to own 10 times or 100 times that ammount when most people in their countries live paycheck to paycheck? That said should there be a cap on how much wwalt Wealth someone can own? And if so how much should it be?
