So I applied as a barista at Starbucks in 2021 and I got ghosted after the interview. One year and a half later, the Starbucks in my small town is still looking for employees. Every time I quickly surf the job applying site, the annoumcement from Starbucks pops up and it's been having the exact same photo (containing all the details) all these months. They have been reposting it over and over again so the announcement is fresh. Wtf is going on? Couldn't they find a barista all this time? And Starbucks isn't the only case; there are a lot of companies doing the same. Why?

It’s insane but it makes so much sense. Complement and embrace and celebrate everything positive and be totally out of touch with everything else at all costs. Just fill the empty air with fake happiness.
