Hello! So, like the title suggests, my partner recently got a new job. When handing in her notice she said that pay was big reason in looking for something else as she's been on minimum wage (UK, so £8.91/hour). When she got the job, she wasn't fully qualified in her field, but got the qualification within three months.
Her managers both told her later on in the day that she should've been getting paid £9.50/hour from June 2021, but they can't backdate it. This seems really sketchy to me, especially as they admitted she should've been paid that for the last 8 months…
Anyone any experience with anything like this and can offer some advice? We've tried looking online but can't find much in the way of clear advice…
