Hello colleagues!
I am asking for wording referring to a raise for my entire front of house staff at the hotel restaurant I’m employed at. Our current wage is 2.13 an hour and our location is Austin,TX. The service industry minimum wage has been 2.13 an hour for years and I’ve seen multiple job postings similar to my workplace at a higher rate. So some of my colleagues and I are motivated to request a higher hourly rate by signing a petition. I’m going to draft it and I’m looking for advice in the language that should be involved. My outline is a summary of why we believe we should be given a raise and then have a list of employees that have signed onto this request.
