I recently got told it would be my last day at my new job after only 4 weeks.
I work as a marketing consultant/marketing coordinator and got this great job with a young company. My role was to manage our marketing streams and find ways to improve our budget spend and return.
Within my first week I found that our current digital marketing firm that we outsourced was wasting a lot of money so my suggestion was to let them go after we had warned then multiple times, and replace them with either myself or another firm.
My boss wanted me to work on other projects so we replaced them with another firm. Unfortunately due to this addition, the new firm offered to take over our marketing management completely behind our backs to our boss.
This unfortunately lead to myself and another losing our jobs.
The whole situation is incredibly ironic.
Good way to learn you can always be replaced.
Definitely going to be a lot more careful heading into future jobs.
